spoon n1 / mugen twin loop

hi all, am looking for a new system for the 9...im not after something thats stupidly loud...but something that sounds good! iv been looking at the spoon n1 personally...but seems as tho not alot of ppl are using these? is there a reason why? or personal taste? as everyone seems to be getting the twin loop....

anyone knows the differences between the 2?

Re: spoon n1 / mugen twin loop

In my opinion the mugen twin loop is the best one for performance, and the sound is not that loud compared to spoon, or buddy club exhaust, I used it and I recommend it to you for daily a daily drive car

Re: spoon n1 / mugen twin loop

The spoon is closer o 100 db assuming you're running a full system.
The mugen is near enough stock, but with a nce sporty note

Re: spoon n1 / mugen twin loop

I've had both and prefer the Mugen Twin Loop. I had the Spoon 4-2 n 2-1 manifold, de-cat, Spoon B-pipe and Spoon N1 and it was mighty loud. Driving hard the car sounded amazing, i loved it so much but when driving it normal it was just to loud. I ended up swapping it for a Mugen Twin Loop Cat back and swapped the decat for a standard cat.

If you enjoy the vtec noise go for N1.

Spoon N1 with J's tsuchinoko intake sounds perfect

Re: spoon n1 / mugen twin loop

SPOON N1 flows better than MUGEN for top end and is much louder.

Exhuast theory is the straightest pipes with less bends = more flow. Once air needs to make 90+degree turns, it slows down.

End of the day, its your preference. Mugen is nice for the street.
