Aftermarket steering wheel and p/s airbag??

Can anyone shed a bit of light on this , is it possible for the p/s airbag to work with a aftermarket steering wheel??

The boss kit im getting removes the airbag light from the dash as it has a resistor fooling the ecu but im wondering will the p/s airbag still fire in an accident??
