Its now a couple of years since our ek's rolled out frm production line...
We keep on hearing/reading about how reliable B16A/B engines are! :)

So i then thought of posting this thread where we can compare how many Km our ek's hve???

My EK-4 is just entered on 80000km... i thought it was loads untill ive come across ppl who have done over 400000km... no joke!!:shocked: & still rev HARD!!! :nice:

i only have 30,000miles on mine, i drive it hard, the guy before me drove it hard, after 3000miles the oil still looks brand new!! ive seen d16 with over 200,000miles drive hard too.
 
My EK9 has 62k UK milage so 102k Km

Ive had an EG6 with over 200k UK Milage!!!!! and still drove fine, pulled hard etc, you just have to look after them, service, oil etc :)
 
61,000 km! no problems at all :nerv:

400000 km without rebuild the engine?
 
Mine has 96,000 km, no problems at all, i've been using it at the track for almost 2 years!

Just replacing parts due to ware/use... This is unrealistic if we were talking abt European car manufactures!! :D

P.S: just very important to look after them like Neo mentioned b4!! oil etc...:nice:

Yep no rebuild, just oil and filter change every 3k miles UK miles and a regular service as well as a new timing belt ever 60 - 80k :bow: hail the b16 engines!
 
ΕΚ9 was builded to last even when is not "respected". While a normal car can reach 300,000 - 400,000 kms if not being mistreated at all, an EK9 can reach these numbers even when being abused(taking it of course for service on time etc...). Anyone who does not abuse his EK9, he shouln't be surprised to go beyond half a million of kms with not a single problem, especially if the car has no mods as well. Remember, even a single air filter reduces the engine's life!!
 
Jokes :p I hope when i get my EK9 it lasts me forever! mwhwhahaha :p

yah mhen......mine's D16! when I bought the car it has 80,000km on it....:) now it has 126,000km and still driving it hard....:D
 
My chassis has at least 165,000 miles. The motor about 85,000 miles. Transmission 60,000.
 
Wow most of your cars are quite low km's... Mine has done 102,000km still goes fine though:nice:
 
twd mine has done 102,000km thats 62k uk miles, Nothing at all for a B16B the engine doesnt really break in till after 100k UK miles as Honda will also tell you
 
Mine has just turned 110998km wich is 69k uk miles owned since september.
I have gavin the car 3 oil and filter swaps including engine flush running shweeeet:nice:
