possible fuel problem

i have a 1995 jdm gsr engine with type-r trans . i never changed the fuel pump . is it recomended that i do so ? i have sputtering at high rpm's, maybe like not enough fuel is being sent to the engine , either thats the problem or my injectors are cloged , maybe my alternator is going bad , maybe the distributor ? any advice would be greatly apreciated. thnx

Re: possible fuel problem

why dont you try to buy a injector cleaning aditive? that may help,

Possible problems:

1. Dirty Inyectors.
2. Spark plugs are not working well.
3. Spark plug wires.
4. Fuel filter is dirty.
5. Fuel pump problem.

I had a same problem a couple of years ago with a b16a honda, when i rev up to 7500 rpm the engine stopped making power, or stalled, it was the spark plug wires.

Hope this can help.

it most likely what he said, cause i highly dout the you need a new fuel pump cause fuel pump from manufacture are capable of pushing up to about 60 psi unless the pump is going out.
