Honda Civic 99-00 Cup Holder in a 96-98 Civic?

Is it possible to install the 99-00 honda civic cup holder in a 96-98 civic ?

I like the 99-00 one and want to change mine

After watching this diagram I think its possible

they should be the same fit, no mods needed. same mounting holes from what i know

should, i fitted a 99-00 us civic si 1 to my 96-98 years ago (us is lhd while u.k rhd so doesnt sit perfect, just of by about 1-2mm but hard to tell)

mine has 2 large cup holes so not quite same as above which has 1 smaller and 1 large
