Just though ide start a thread about Jon's ITR.

It is currently with me for some work etc, so we can get it ready for the track for him this season.

This thread is so that we can keep a detailed build up of what we do to his car and also so we can keep him/forum updated on the progress of the build.

Ive had the car over since just before christmas but been so busy not been able to play with it up until this week.

No pics as of yet but to get a rough idea.

- engine bay strip
- bay repaint in champ white
- air con delete
- abs delete
- custom brake lines
- under sealing front arches
- under sealing rear arches
- full poly bush
- repaint subframe
- repaint lower arms
- Custom cage
- paint cage and interior
- treat the HSD coilovers (seen betterdays)
- Treat surface rust on arches before it gets bad.



Thats the plans for now. once these are done, we will progress with the Engine refit mapping etc.

Sounds like its going to be an ace dc2, real nice plans for it :nice:
 
Hi Guys this thread has been a bit quite, Me James and John have been planning the project out thoroughly so that the final product is exactly as intended.

A few pics from last weeks efforts.

The engine bay is now pretty stripped. a few brake lines and fuel lines to drop once we remove the fuel tank and suframe.

Anyways some pics of how the bay stands atm.

The box is for a different AEM system because the original box got squashed (goodies weren't inside)! Inside is an AEM V2 system, same as on my EK9.

nice parts but i always thought the hondata thermal gasket was blue instead of white
