Anyone have the Eibach sportline springs?

Can I ask? What does the weight ratio of the car have to do with springs sitting lower at the front, than the rear?
If OEM springs can sit evenly, why can't aftermarket springs? Think about it...
If they sit higher at the back, by a huge amount like we've seen in this thread, then your springs are no good.
(I am referring to Eibach Sportline, so those who have randomly come across this thread don't quote me unless you've read the whole thread, )

Bon:- i think it would make a big difference if the springs weren't made for a particular car (ek9 in this case) isn't it strange that oem springs sit evenly because they were made for the car, likewise the ek9 spoon 15mm springs , sit evenly, strangely they were also designed for the ek9. So do you not think weight ratio would play a factor when they were designed, why does the sportlines drop 50mm+ evenly on other models that they were made for???

I know what you are trying to say about weight but a normal ek and an ek9 would be the same weight at the back as the weight loss between the 2 comes from: no sound deadening, no sun-roof, thinner glass these weight reductions do not make the ek9 lighter at the rear than the front. Also as I said before I lowered a Type-R dc2 on springs made for a gsr and non-Type R models with no problem

I have also just measured my arch gap between the centre of the arch lip to the top edge of the tyre and they are as follows:

Front: 25mm
Rear:70mm

The back may sit slightly higher than the front with certain springs but 45mm is a big difference and with the arch gap at the back being 70mm that is actually probably higher than standard with 205/45/r16 tyres.



Accessory zone is working with eibach on a solution to the problem as it may have just been a mix up of spring codes in the factory.

Wheels are 16's with 1205/45/16 tyres. Thought these would fill the arch but it hasn't helped at all







Thought I would be happy with the drop at the front but not happy with that either tbh.

I take it you've spoke to accessory zone about this. Let me know what they say. I've pm'd accessory zone asking what can be done as the springs obviously haven't given the right drop.

spek9:- no your right there shouldn't be a 45mm difference, i wouldn't be happy with that myself. The point i was trying to make, was that i was told by the company i bought mine of that, that the pro-kit springs aren't recommended for the ek9, although it should be ok as the ek4 is similiar, anyway i hope you guys get sorted out

Yes I have spoken with them and they have been trying to resolve this so I will let you know what happens. Is your car an ek4 or an ej9 I take it bud? Yours doesnt look like it has lowered much at the front and is very high at the back aswell

I think that the main reason for the eibach pro-kit not being recommended for the ek9 is that the spring rates are slightly softer than standard ek9 springs and not to do with the actual lowering

This is a pic I took today of my rear arch gap on level ground with handbrake off 205/45/r16 tyres so there must be some sort of mix up

tbh i think the pro kit i've on is lowering more than that at the back which def isn't right, nice choice of wheels btw

I have contacted Eibach as said above and just waiting for them to get back to me. They have to contact Eibach USA as these kits come from the factory out there. I have been told they will have some information on this in the morning our time tomorrow as by the time Eibach USA is up it will be closing time here. Will keep you updated and get to the bottome of this.

It's an ek3 buddy. My aim is to have a decent suspensions/chassis/brakes set up by the summer and hopefully drop a dohc in there. Not decided on which to go for. Let me know how you get on

vk9 could it be that you've installed the front springs on the back which is why both me and SPek9 have more arch gap at the back and you have more arch gap at the front?

Like you said yourself on page 2. You have 55 profile on the rear tyres....
55 profile tyres are chunky, so that fills your arches more than the other two, which are running lower profile than you. Pretty obvious tbh. I hope this helps.
