Re: boost? or kswap?

If you intend or track the car : K swap is a no brainer

For fun in the street : the rush of the boost is better.

Re: boost? or kswap?

Turbo for right now. And get it done right. That way if, later on, you decide to do a B or K swap... YOU ALREADY HAVE A TURBO FOR THE SWAP!

Re: boost? or kswap?

I have k20 JDM dc2 teg track car (which happens to be for sale), the k swap works fantastically in my car and has surprised cars a lot more powerful than mine on a trackday - k20 & box = perfect in the dc2 chassis

just to add ive had no reliability issues at all i drove my car, completed an open pit trackday then drove home. great fun!

maintenance, drivability, fear of cops, fear of thieves, fear of blowing up your engine, cost of the parts, cost of mainenance, fear of overheating in traffic, etc, etc, etc, one by one these little things add up and you end up with a car you just don't want to drive too often.

Re: boost? or kswap?

I'd say boost unless you use your car on a daily basis

Re: boost? or kswap?

After Experiencing more than one, K-Swap all day long.

reliability, N/A, Fuel Consumption, ITB's and your Torquing seriouse figures with a good map,(see what i did there?) All those are plus point,

I wont list the negatives of turbos as they have already been said. But yeah, Turbos are alot of maintanance! Unless you run pretty damn low boost, and then its not worth doing!

Its the sensible option IMO, id never consider boost Ever since being in a K-powered EK.... They are unbelievable!
