Turbo t04 for a D16Y7

a friend is offering a turbo t04 (airesearch/garrett), 0.60 a/r the compresor and 0.58 a/r the turbine in t04 both

Hard to tell by the pictures but for that price you can't go wrong, worse case you can always sell the stuff.

If its a straight t4 its a bit too big...

a T04 unit on a d16y7 isnt going to work, by the time your hitting boost you will have to change gear, this turbo was used on the ford rs500 and even on that highly tuned 2.0 it wasnt hitting boost till just under 5,000 rpm, can support a hell of lot of power though

wtf, is this a joke? td04 is a tine turbo, i think you are mistaking it for a t4, or maybe the OP listed the wrong turbo

td04 is hard pressed to make 260whp!

T04, not Td04! The T04e-b like i said was used in the ford rs500 and could easily achieve 500 bhp, Td04 was used in most scooby's apart from STI's which used TD05's.

and by the way that is a bargain for all that, the 44mm tial wastegate will set you back more than that alone, wanna swap for a 38 mm one

lol, i have a subaru and a honda, i got mixed up, i actually used to have a T3/T04e on my honda and your right there capable of about 425whp (500bhp), but mine went bad and now i run a GT3076R

So yeah that is a bit large for a SOHC unless its a t3/t04b, that would be the biggest i would run on a sohc.
