First time drag racing with a b16b torquless wonder :) .I've had a b20 gsr head Sir tranny in a EG hatchback and use to go 13,8 @100mph non lsd with winter tires.Type R clutch.I used to rev limiter at 3300rpm then simply dump the clutch and shift second gear as soon as i could then keep gas welded to the floor until i shift so I know i can drive, but things changed.I now own a EK with a b16b,Stage 4 xtd clutch (wich is great up to date) 8 lbs flywheel top fuel intake and 2,25 magnaflow exhaust line(no i still dont have a header).I ran a Shitty 16,3 at best and i Know my problem is at shifting points(no clue of my real Rpm) and Launching...I've tried dumping at 3000,5000,6000 rpms, at
3000 the thing wouldnt move,
5000 a bit better but still...
6000 rpm seems the best up to date but i was scared to break stock axles.I would have tried higher.
So the main question here is Will the stock 36mm axles die with the massive snap of my stage 4 unsprung clutch? Its the first time that i get scared of breaking something while drag racing please reassure me guys :)

The VTEC Challenge is a new and exciting All Honda race series that will be running in conjunction with BARC - the British Automobile Racing Club and with support from Yokohama Tyres. The series aims to provide an ideal setting for the newcomer to racing to feel welcome, safe and to quickly learn the ropes and come up to speed alongside a mixture of novices and more experienced drivers. With full tyre sponsorship and on-site spares and service support, the series aims to be a very financially viable series that caters for all Honda enthusiasts. The new season will start in April 2011 so plenty of time to get those cars ready. Provisional circuit calendar includes Silverstone, Donnington, Mallory Park, Croft, Anglesea and Snetterton.

We are also proud to be supported by those from the EK9.org forum and the ever growing Honda community
