hi i am new on the EK9 forum but have been on ZSOC for ages. I am looking into starting off on the civic scene and would like to get some information. I need good MPG and have found cheap insurance on the Civic 1.4i ej9.

I have found a couple of options one being the 1.4i model and another which is the same but the Hawaiian special edition apparently. has anyone heard of this and is it any good. I was looking a the bhp and can see that the Hawaiian is lower and has a lower top speed. anyone know the reason for this?

thank you i would also be grateful for any points to look out for when purchasing my civic.

lastly i plan to do some modifications such as coilovers and exhaust cat back for now but cant find much for this edition. Anyone know if the ek9 or ek4 items will fit?

much appreciated

Just wonderin how much would a R33 GTST engine cost to put inside a RX7? Any Whizzkid mechanics out there rekon its possible with out sending yourself back into recession?! :))

Bit early for anything X-mas related but I was just wondering if there'd be 30+ interested in getting a custom Top Trumps deck made up of EK9's (and a few exceptions I'm sure) from the forum. A bit different to the usual ideas that crop up like calendars etc.

So you'll basically buy a deck of cards with your own, and other EK9.org members', cars for whatever price for you to play with on Crimbo day or as a stocking filler for loved ones - I know my girlfriend would LOVE a set of EK9 Top Trumps :P

Just a quick draft I did with the only picture of my car I have on my computer, the finished product will look nothing like this:

If people like the idea I'll look into pricing, samples etc. and get some people who are good on PS to give it a crack and get a draft put together.

well folks i done a build on my b16a2 engine over 2 years ago which consisted of...

2nd oversize ek9 pistons (81.5mm),dc2 cams,etc etc :blabla:
sort of a "mild" high comp build.
was mapped via crome on obd1 with Henry over in Scotland and made 185/123 after mapping.

i am thinking of doing a b18 build next year so decided to throw the car on the rollers today to see what it would make on local rolling road before i split the engine or likes.

bit down on few years ago but im happy enough, made 182/113.3
torque was down fair bit but a friends(spek9) ek9 had strong bhp on same rollers while back but low torque also :secret:

this is the latest graph...

now bit i dont understand is peak power @ 8,965 rpm!
makes peak power around 8k according to all my previous printouts over the years and my rev limit is set at 8,500 rpm!
maybe the graph is 1k out but i didnt notice this till later on so didnt get to ask about it.
vtec is set at 5800 for anyone interested.

Here are some Basic guidlines when posting in the "For Sale" section

ALL Sellers (This includes Donators and Vendors)

1. The For Sale section is provided for the benefit of individual members to buy and sell items.

It is a priveledge that is earned and requires a minimum of 100 posts regardless of status.

You are required to create your feedback account into the Reputation Center - EK9.org JDM EK9 Honda Civic Type R Forum before you begin selling. This prevents people from abusing the site by only joining up to sell.

Businesses are not allowed to use the For Sale section unless they have Trader status. Please contact RVM or Blinx9900

2. Please post pictures this will enable the sale to be more successful! Be aware that no pictures or pasted pictures from google could very well be scammers that will take your money for items they may have no intention of posting or even have in the first place!

3. For sale template, if this is not followed it will deleted, you will find a note next to your original post as to what is wrong with the thread. ALL members must follow this due to recent abuse and deception.

Item for sale:
Price:
Location:
Condition:
Description:
Pictures:

Copy, paste and fill in, simple!

4. Users must not have more than 3 active threads open at any one time. Please do not list all your items in separate threads!

Buyers

1. Offers and any comments that may affect a sale should be made privately via pm, if you think it may disrupt someones sale or not benefit other members then say it via pm to the seller.

2. First come first served basis applies.

BOTH

When the transaction is complete please leave the seller and the buyer some feedback in the Reputation Center - EK9.org JDM EK9 Honda Civic Type R Forum this will enable future buyers to gauge the type of seller they are and hopefully help the transaction.

We will update and amend these rules as and when needed, its your responsibility as a seller to check and make sure you are on the ball.

Please help the mods out by reporting any posts not following the rules or template so it can be ammended.

This will help make the for sale section run more smoothly and help everyone with buying and selling.

Thank you
