hello can someone just confirm how to check CEL codes on a 1999 EK9?

i have tried to find a jumper cable but cant find it.

How do you reset the ECU once the fault is fixed or does it do it, its self? I have the engine management light on and the fault is the throttle position sensor. So if i fit a new sensor will the light then go out its self?

either unplug the battery for 30seconds, or pull the "ACC" fuse the 7amp one next to the the ECM fuse (15amp) in the under bonnet fuse box.

Bear in mind you will lose all clock/radio settings.

Thanks for the quick and helpful reply. Its all good but i just fitted the new TPS and started it up and the engine management light is out :nice::win:

i connected the plug that i found on the green housing with a piece of cable and when i turned the key my engine light stays on it does not blink at all it just stays on.
that means that i have no cel codes and everything is ok ?

engine must be warmed up when doing this ?

I tried to reset my ECU today but couldnt see a "ACC" fuse so i pulled the 15amp one marked FI EM at the top left of the fuse box..

Is that the correct one?

Can this method still be used with an aftermarket ecu like the s300?

just remove your battery negative plug for 20-30min it's the same thing...
