hello can someone just confirm how to check CEL codes on a 1999 EK9?

i have tried to find a jumper cable but cant find it.

The cable is plugged into a green housing, you'll find it sitting just above your ECU (Under the passenger side kick panel)

How do you reset the ECU once the fault is fixed or does it do it, its self? I have the engine management light on and the fault is the throttle position sensor. So if i fit a new sensor will the light then go out its self?

either unplug the battery for 30seconds, or pull the "ACC" fuse the 7amp one next to the the ECM fuse (15amp) in the under bonnet fuse box.


Bear in mind you will lose all clock/radio settings.

Thanks for the quick and helpful reply. Its all good but i just fitted the new TPS and started it up and the engine management light is out
