Hello peoe I went to fit gauges yesterday and bought a sandwich plate, I was told as long as I buy a m20x1.5 adaptor I would be fine, anyway fitted all up, the adaptor fits on the thread on the block but once fully tightened there's movement in the plate!

Now I'm not sure if the adaptor is slightly too long or the actual plate is wrong?

Could any point me in the right direction please to a new sandwich plate or just a new shorter m20x1.5 adaptor?

Thanks

Can you use a copper washer or cut a little off the threads?

The threads might be too long or there's no o-ring on the adaptor ring.
Check if there's an o-ring in the sandwich plate that seals against the block.
If that is all fine ,you may need to cut some threads of the adaptor.

No point buying new mate,if cutting the adaptor doesn't work give me a pm and you can have my sandwich plate, all bolts up perfect and only used for 1500 miles
