Hi all, i am debating weather to order a set of these as i dont want mounts that will vibrate my dash board like a porn stars dildo. I have a worn rear engine mount, do you reakon these would be fit for the job. Apprantly the just slot into the worn ones. Would you reakon i order a new set off oem ones or go for these. Aslong as they fix the problem with minimal vibration i will be happy.

Thanks in advance

I'd refresh the stock mounts instead of getting those insert things, I've never really believed they work.
I got a set of avid racing mounts, the lowest rating they do, they shook everything at first but now they hardly vibrate at all.

Thats what i was thinking, just cant see how a worn mount can be fixed by a poly insert.

I can confirm they work, very well actually.

Mine torque mounts were fubar'd. I bought these when doing an engine swap but didn't have the time nor money to wait for new mounts when I got the call to say they were ruined so just chucked them over the old shagged mounts and they tightened it all up nicely.

Mechanic was impressed with how easy they were to fit and what a difference they made also.

Filling the mount with polyurethane "tiger seal" works also, maybe better as it actually bonds it all together,

Done this on my old ek9 and only had minor dash vibe's

Left the lower torque mounts alone though

Hardrace mounts, harder then stock but don't vibrate the inside of the car :)

Thanks for your feedback man much appreciated.

Do you need to remove them to fit the inserts or tiger seal them?

Yep need to take them out and give them a really good clean up then leave them to cure properly.

I used some stuff out a battle damage repair kit we had in work. It's designed to repair mounts and tyres. Works really well too.

I fill my mounts with the tiger seal worked well for me, repaired the almost split bush on the rear mount & with minimal dash vibration, good days work but a done the torque mounts too cutting the old rubber out & totally filling with tiger seal. So I'd say the polyurathene insert would work just as well.
