Right have a facelift ek9 dash loom and engine loom to put into my EK with the b18c motor, will my car run alright on the b16b ecu or do i need to get a 98 ITR ecu and some jumper harness?

Re: 98 b18c into 99 ek9

your b16b ecu should be OBDIIb which means the Harness which ur using assuming is ur ek9 harness will plug and play, only thing is a b18c ecu is different to a b16b ecu it'll work and run for sure, not as smooth maybe but still will do the job. you can use the 98 spec harness as well and then just use the 98 spec ecu its 1am i hope i wrote something that made sense

Thats correct, because the pre facelift has a OBD2A ecu / harness. All JDM Integra Type R 95 - 01 came with OBD2A ecu.

I don't recommend you to use a B16B ecu in your B18C motor, since the B16B ecu has a higher rev limit, you should go with a B18C ecu with a obd2b to obd2a conversion harness.

You have the option to get a chipped OBD1 ecu for your car, also you can get a apexi power fc and tune it, but I've only heard good comments from the B18C integra type r ecu, if the motor is stock and you can get it at a good price, go for it.

I recommend you to check out this thread, just in case you have any doubts regarding the ecu harnesses

Honda OBD0 - OBD1 - OBD2A - OBD2B ecu differences.

Yep, he can use the b18c obd2a harness also , thats a lot of work, but with patience a time, he can do it
