material to dissipate heat.
hello guys,
need your help. i cant get the name of this material...it used to dissipate heat. i want to use it to heat shield my air filter.coz my country is very hot(malaysia). there is also a new way to dissipate heat by paint. a bit of hassle to paint in my engine bay.... hope to hear frm u guys... |

Copper or aluminum are two materials that conduct the heat well. Thus, copper core aluminum cooler for microprocessors.
Ribs are used to make surface bigger in order to transfer heat to a colder surrounding air. Racing oil pans have ribs on the bottom to pass the heat to air. As Blinx said if you want your engine takes air as cool as possible use heat reflective wrap. Or take the bottle of CO2, spray the intake tube if it is metal, and you will cool down the tube for short period of time. Drag racing.
