engine conversion

I currently have a Honda Civic 1.5vtec

D15b engine

I have been offered a 1.6vtec engine to go into the car and its running perfectly and its only £50 so its dirt cheap

What things will i have to switch over to enable it to work in my car ?

Or is it a case of simple plug and play ?

I apologise in advance if any of the above questions are in your minds stupid, but this is my first honda and am not clued right up on them yet .

Thanks
Zac

Re: engine conversion

What exactly are you getting for your £50? What 1.6 engine is it? Sounds way to cheap to b a B series anyway.

Re: engine conversion

i've found out the engine is a D16Z6 engine so im sticking with my 1.5vtec as its quicker and pulls alot harder

if anyone wants the above engine let me no and can see if can get hold of it still .

Re: engine conversion

The d15 is on your ek3 right? Is it a JDM obd1 or obd2?

Cause beasicaly you will trade almost the same engine! Be awar that if your car and engine now is obd2 you will have to retrofit some plugs if not the ECU conectors(if you are goning to run a p28)!
