Hi,

Im in need of some new mounts and would like peoples opinions on engine mounts they have or have used.

im hopefully going to be getting a B18C if i can sell my B16B.

also can you let me know what kind of prices the different mounts are.

thanks

:nice:

"Best" is kind of hard to assess.

Best in what realm? Best for street? Best for race? Best all around?

Best for street = OEM

Best all around = Mugen, Spoon, Hardrace in no specific order

Best for race = probably something from Hasport or some solid mounts

Best on a budget = Energy suspension inserts

As above, i upgraded to spoon and am very happy but be ready for getting used to a bit more vibration through the cabin!

T.D.I North sell the inserts which are handy!

Spoon mounts are harder than Mugen. Expect more dash vibration with any aftermarket mounts with harder rubber inserts.

OEM are a good for the road as above.

Expect to spend £300-400 for Spoon mounts. Even more for Mugen mounts.

Js Racing engine mounts are also very good quality, they are about the same stiffness as Mugen but tend to be more expensive. Js Racing also do a Hard bush set for about an extra £80 on the original price, which I assume is for more race focused applications.

Innovative Mounts vary in price, but again, expect to pay £300 + at the moment!

Hasport, expect to pay around $500.

Energy Suspension Engine mount inserts are a good temporary measure, especially if your oem mounts are showing signs of wear. They are available from about £30 upwards.

Thanks guys :)

Hmmm do any of you guys know the rough price for a set of OEM ones?

Then again if i do so many track days i might aswell get uprated ones hadnt i?

Thanks again

If you track the car a lot, you would definitely benefit from something stiffer!

I'd go with the Spoon myself;)

Off Topic - Josh any more pics of your coupe? It looks great in your sig:D
