Re: Brakes for converting to 1.6vtec
You'll need to do a rear disc conversion and upgrade the front disks and calipers if you dont' have 262mm on there. Some 1.4's for some reason had 262mm fronts but you can never tell till you get to work on them. If you have 242mm fronts then you need to get vti front hubs, calipers and disks. If this is your set up you'll also need a bigger M/C as it will require more fluid having bigger brakes up front and disc in the rear. And lastly no matter what the size of the front disc's are you'll need to change the brake prop valve as the rear disc's require more pressure for them to work correctly.
Hope this helps.

Re: Brakes for converting to 1.6vtec
i think ej9 has same cylinder as ek4 but i could probably sell you ek4 brake master if it wasnt
if you can wait a while i could also supply rear pipes (so you get pipes, discs, pads and carriers but no calipers for £40 + postage) if you want ek4 fronts (calipers, carriers, pads and discs) yours for £50 so for £100 youd have everything execpt rear calipers posted |
