Mugen mid section....2"???

I bought a twinloop a couple of weeks ago, i've just measured the end of the section that bolts to the cat, and its only 2"! Is this right? I thought they are supposed to be larger than that? Was sold to fit ek9 from a VERY reputible member of the forum...
 
Not sure man but im looking for a twin loop meself, how much u pay for it?
 
Most JDM Systems are 60mm rather than true 2.5"... How accurately did you measure it?

Could be that it's for a D Series car?
 
Yeh i was expecting 60mm....

Wasnt very accurate, but can see from this pick its clearly not 60mm

Mugen B Pipe on my DC2 is 2.25 from cat to mid section and 2.5" from mid section back
 
Mid box backwards is 60mm, as i was expecting, its just the first pipe from the cat...
 
I will have another one shortly, i will measure that to confirm.

I can confirm Mugen Twinloop systems are 2" into 2.36"
Not sure why it bottlenecks, but it seems Spoon does a similar thing and so does my APEXI system.
 
Is there a reason why mugen made it like that? I might just fit the back box and leave the b pipe oem, surely its going to restrict it if anything if mine is the right size.
 
Pretty sure the Mugen back box won't bolt to OEM B Pipe, well it sure didnt for me, although this was for Integra-R. It might be different for EK ...
