just saw this...have spoken with a few other people who have/had the spoon ecu and they are all talking about this power dip...i dont know why but i dont get this.
its just Full power all the way from 5500 right up and it made the car alot faster(maybe not so much in the normal sense of the word), with the vtec point being lower its easier to "keep on the boil" if you know what i mean. it also removes the speed limiter aswell (if your car hasnt been converted)
If you are only planning on doing breathing and exhaust mods then the spoon is perfect IMO, fair enough if you are maybe supercharging for example (or any serious engine work), then it would be best to go out and buy a tuneable ECU.
the other argument "for" is that this is Spoon were talking about, they arent going to put something on the market that will damage engines.
Obviously all of the above is my own opinion so no digs
Im unfortunatley considering selling mine in the future as they are worth good money and im poor
would really really hate to see it go though.
